Nokken appoints CFO

Press Release: 19 November 2023

Nokken is excited to announce the appointment of Craig McDonald as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). A significant milestone for Nokken as the company continues to grow and evolve, adding Craig to the senior management will ensure Nokken grows on a steady financial footing.

Craig brings both extensive financial expertise and a strategic vision to Nokken with his years at PwC and recent ventures in the hospitality industry. Most recently, Craig co-founded his own nature resort (Hilltop Forest in Finland), which has been successfully operating for 2 years. Prior to that, Craig worked as a Director at PwC, where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions for almost a decade.

His work in Transaction Services focused on Financial Due Diligence, advising clients on M&A deals while based in London and Oslo. During this time he worked on a diverse range of international projects, performing financial analysis, assessing financial risk and identifying opportunities for value creation. Craig is a qualified accountant (ACCA) and holds a Masters degree in Finance from Maastricht university.

By joining Nokken, Craig is able to combine his passion for the hospitality industry with his financial expertise.

“I am thrilled to join Nokken. The founders have not only created stunning architectural work but also impressively built a production platform to be able to roll out units on two continents, with more to come. I believe we are on the way to becoming a market leader in the hospitality sector as hotel guests around the world increasingly head to natural locations while the construction industry is shifting to modular production offering hotel operators and landowners peace of mind and streamlined building solutions. Nokken brings alive a vision I have long held with my co-founder at Hilltop Forest that increasingly people want to be surrounded by nature without compromising on luxury or sustainability." says Craig.
